Everything you need to know about Finance Tracker
The Dashboard is your weekly overview. It summarises mileage, hours worked, receipts, and transactions for the selected week and compares them against the previous week. Below the weekly summary, a separate charts section shows trends across a longer rolling period.
Week Tabs
Use the week tabs at the top to jump between weeks. The range shown drives the stat cards, income/expense balance, and "Week at a Glance" comparison — but not the charts (which have their own period selector).
Stat Cards
Income / Expense Balance
Appears when at least one transaction exists in the period. Shows total income (money in), total expenses (money out), and net balance. Each card includes a percentage-change badge comparing the current week to the previous week.
Quick Actions
Shortcuts that perform actions directly on the dashboard without navigating away. Available shortcuts:
Tap the pencil icon next to "Quick actions" to open the shortcut picker. Toggle any button on or off — your selection is saved in the browser and persists across sessions.
Clock In / Out Widget
Lets you start or stop a time entry directly from the dashboard without visiting the Time page. The Clock In quick action above does the same thing.
Week at a Glance
A compact summary table of all tracked metrics, followed by a vs prev week comparison section showing percentage change for each figure.
Charts
Four charts sit below the weekly summary and use their own independent period selector — choose 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, year-to-date, or 12 months. Charts update immediately when you switch period.
For ranges over 14 days the charts automatically switch to weekly buckets to keep the data readable.
Customising the Layout
Each section on the dashboard can be reordered by drag and drop. Click the Locked button in the top-right of the dashboard to enter edit mode — a grip handle appears on each section. Drag sections into your preferred order, then click Editing to lock the layout. The order is saved in your browser and persists across sessions.
Switch on Privacy Mode (the eye icon on the account page) to mask all monetary values — useful when sharing your screen.
