Cookie Policy
Last updated July 2026
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. This policy explains which cookies FTrak uses and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We use essential cookies only
FTrak sets only strictly necessary, first-party cookies — the ones required for the service to work. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), essential cookies do not require your consent, so we do not show a cookie banner.
The cookies we set
- Session cookie — an HTTP-only, secure cookie that keeps you signed in. Cleared when you log out.
- CSRF / security tokens — short-lived cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery.
- Device identifier — a first-party cookie used only to build the fraud-prevention headers HMRC requires when you file (it does not track you across other websites).
- Preferences — small cookies remembering choices such as theme.
What we do NOT use
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics that profile you. If we ever introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the service will not function correctly without the essential session and security cookies (you would not be able to stay signed in).
